Jose "Joe" Esteves (born 1947) is the Republican mayor of Milpitas, California. He was born and raised in Dagupan, Pangasinan, in the Philippines and he has been mayor since 2002.[1] Esteves graduated from the University of the Philippines Diliman with bachelor's degrees in civil engineering and industrial engineering and an MBA.[2] In 1980, Esteves emigrated to the U.S.[2]

He is the second Filipino to serve as a mayor in Milpitas.

In 2012, Esteves announced that he would be endorsing Garry Barbadillo and Rajeev Madnawat for the Milpitas City Council November election. However, both did not make it; Barbadillo in 3rd place and Madnawat in 5th place. Deepka Lalwani, Mark Tiernan, and Ola Hassan also competed for the spot in city council. Debbie Gordiano and Carmen Montano both made places in city council.
