Jonathan Hall (journalist)

Jonathan Hall is a journalist and general assignment reporter on WHDH-TV 7News in Boston, Massachusetts.[1]

A native of Marshfield, Massachusetts, he has been at WHDH since 1993. He is a 1983 graduate of Bates College, in Lewiston, ME where he received his degree in Economics. During his student years he worked in various positions in the administration of the student radio station, WRBC, ending as general manager his senior year. He also was heard on air at several Southern Maine news radio stations as a freelance reporter.

After his education his career has taken him to WEEI Newsradio 590, WCVB-TV (ABC) Boston, WMTW-TV (ABC) in Portland, and KMOV-TV (CBS) in St. Louis before returning to his native area in 1993.

During his career his ability has been recognized with the 2010 Edward R. Murrow regional award from the RTDNA and by the Associated Press for his "Jonathan Hall Uncovers" investigative reporting on the Peabody Housing Authority. He has also won three Emmy Awards for live reporting.
