Jonas Bonnier

Jonas Bonnier (born 1963) was President of the Bonnier Group from 1 January 2008[1] until May 2013. He is a member of the Bonnier family.

Jonas Bonnier's period as President of Bonnier Group coincided with one of the worst crises that the publishing house has ever faced. The financial crisis remained largely unresolved at the time of Jonas Bonnier's departure. It has been the subject of much debate whether Jonas Bonnier was largely responsible or whether it was the result of broader patterns of change in the publishing industry resulting from the great recession. Jonas Bonnier did however initiate the purchase of several U.S. publications, which proved costly for the Bonnier Group.[2]

Jonas Bonnier is also a novelist, and has published seven novels after his debut in 1988. His novels have exclusively been published Bonnier.
