Jon Nite

Jon Nite (born in Amarillo, Texas) is a singer/songwriter with roots planted in the music of West Texas. Growing up, the family piano filled the house with hymns and a circle of five part harmony. In high school, Jon picked up his Dad's guitar and began diving into country, blues, and acoustic rock. One of Jon's childhood friends dared him to write a song for a TV contest, and the dam broke. Songs poured out full of the angst and the struggles of growing up on the high plains. After high school, he packed up with a handful of songs and drove a thousand miles to Nashville. Jon studied at Belmont University while juggling a handful of jobs and playing countless shows. In August 2010, he signed as a writer with EMI music.

Artists who have recorded Jon's songs include Tim McGraw, Chris Young (musician), Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, David Nail, Luke Bryan, Chase Rice, Jake Owen, Adam Craig (singer-songwriter), Gloriana (band), and many more. Jon has celebrated several number one singles with “What Ever She’s Got” by David Nail, “Smoke” by A Thousand Horses, “We Were Us” with Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert, “Beachin” by Jake Owen, “Strip It Down” by Luke Bryan, and “Break On Me” by Keith Urban.

Not only has Jon had success in the country market, he has also had many television placements. “Glass” was featured in the show One Tree Hill. "You Get What You Pay For" was featured in the show True Blood and his song “Holding On And Letting Go” was featured in the CSI: New York season seven finale, Vampire Diaries, and The Biggest Loser. “Here And Gone” was featured in VH1 Mob Wives. Grey’s Anatomy did a promo using Jon’s song “Someone to Someone”. “Voodoo” was featured on Private Practice. His vocals have been used on Grammy and Dove nominated projects and on screen in the motion picture Hot Rod. As an artist, he has shared the stage with Trisha Yearwood, Restless Heart, Leroy Parnell, Randy Owen, and Bucky Covington.^[1][2]
