The label presented Jackson and keyboardist Ronnie Rancifer as the cousins of Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, Michael, but neither Johnny Jackson nor Rancifer are directly related to the Jacksons, despite Jackson sharing a surname with them.
