Joe Innes is a British singer and songwriter from London, who makes music influenced by lots of genres, most notably alternative rock and folk. Since 2011 he has been playing with his band The Cavalcade. Joe has previously played in several lineups including a band with drummer Matt Thomas from The Joy Formidable.[2]

Joe has been playing shows in London for years and supported artists like Caitlin Rose, Sea of Bees, Alessi's Ark and played with Mary Epworth at The Royal Albert Hall.[3] At the end of 2011, he put together The Cavalcade, an indie-folk band that has been compared to Jeffrey Lewis, Bright Eyes and The Decemberists.

In 2012 they released their debut release The Frighteners, which received strong support from BBC 6 Music DJs Tom Robinson, Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens, and gained widespread coverage from webzines such as This is Fake DIY, describing Joe as "a master of words",[4] and Thank Folk For That who praised the album’s "addictive wit".[5]
