Jere Alan Gillis (born January 18, 1957) is a retired American-born Canadian professional ice hockey player, actor and stuntman.

Gillis was born in Bend, Oregon and raised in Montreal, Quebec. The son of the late Gene Gillis, an Olympic skier, and Rhona Wurtele, a Canadian Olympic skier who competed in the 1948 Winter Olympics along with her twin sister Rhoda. His sister, Margie Gillis, is also a dancer and choreographer, and member of the Order of Canada. His older brother Christopher Gillis (1951–1993) was an important dancer and choreographer and member of the Paul Taylor Dance Company.

He played in the professional ice hockey in National Hockey League and American Hockey League from 1977 to 1987 for the Vancouver Canucks, New York Rangers, Quebec Nordiques, Buffalo Sabres, Philadelphia Flyers and some of their minor-league affiliates. From 1988 to 1991, he played in the UK for Solihull Barons and Peterborough Pirates, finally playing five games in the Quebec Senior Provincial Hockey League in 1996–97.

Upon retiring from ice hockey he became a stuntman in movies as well as a Scientologist.[1]
