Jason Gaverick Matheny
Jason Gaverick Matheny became director of Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity in 2015, after serving as a program manager, associate office director, and office director. He previously worked for the Future of Humanity Institute at Oxford University, where his work focused on existential risks.[1] He holds a PhD in Applied Economics and a Master's in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, an MBA from Duke University, and a BA from the University of Chicago. He was the cofounder of New Harvest, which supports the development of new agricultural biotechnologies. [2]His work was called one of the "ideas of the year" by The New York Times.
