Production
In May 2015, it was announced A24 had signed a two-picture deal with Trey Edward Shults who would write and direct the film, while A24 would produce and distribute the film.[1] In June 2016, Joel Edgerton joined the cast of the film.[2][3] In August 2016, it was announced Christopher Abbott, Riley Keough and Carmen Ejogo joined the cast of the film.[4]
Filming
Principal photography began in August 2016.[5]
