Islet Point

For the headland in British Columbia, Canada, see Gilford Island.

Islet Point (54°14′S 36°38′W / 54.233°S 36.633°W / -54.233; -36.633Coordinates: 54°14′S 36°38′W / 54.233°S 36.633°W / -54.233; -36.633) is a headland forming the east side of the entrance to Carlita Bay, Cumberland West Bay, on the north coast of South Georgia. The name appears to be first used on a 1929 British Admiralty chart and probably derives from the islet just off the point.[1]
