Ioanna Soulioti

Ioanna Soulioti, born in Athens, Greece, is a Greek model. She began her career as a model and culminated in the golden era of modeling in the 1990s as one of the five Greek top models. She has studied fashion design at "Veloudakis Fashion School" and has been in fashion business for the last 20 years. She also starred in the reality television series The Real Housewives of Athens.

Early years

In 1992 she won the first place of Elite Model Management competition "Look of the Year", and started a career as a model in New York, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona. Parallel she started a very successful career as a TV and radio presenter, journalist, columnist and writer.

Career

Soulioti has edited and presented several major television shows, especially in fashion and lifestyle. To name some: "Bazaar" weekly fashion TV show at national state channel NET, "Dama Coupa" a daily show in national state television ET1. As well as in national private channels such as " Metamorphosis" a weekly column at the daily morning show " San to Spiti sas" at national TV channel Mega, "Kakos Lykos" daily show at national private channel Alpha, "Lifestyle" weekly show at national private channel Alter. She also participate at the real life programme of the national private channel Ant1 TV, "'The Real Housewives of Athens"". From 1994 until 2004 she had a daily radio show at Rock Fm 969.

She has collaborated as a journalist and a columnist to the major magazines and newspapers such as the economical newspaper To Kerdos, at the car magazine 4Troxoi, at the Sunday newspaper To Arthro and at the weekly magazine Jetlag who was also the fashion editor. In 1999 she was chosen by the head offices of Harpers Bazaar International to be the editor in chief of Harper’s Bazaar Greece. Now she is working as the Fashion Consultant for Harpers Bazaar Greece.

Soulioti was the lecturer of the courses “Fashion and the Contemporary Greek Woman” which were given at the Hellenic American Educational Foundation under the Adult Educational Program.

Soulioti has been photographed as the cover of the magazines Gineka, Madame Figaro, Votre Beaute, Harper's Bazaar, Max, Marie Claire, also in several television magazines etc. Several European magazines published articles about Soulioti such as Voque Espana, Life and Style, OK, Hello, and many more. She has been the protagonist for the commercials of Coca Cola (Coca Cola light), Delta Dairy Industry (Milko), Amstel Beer (Amstel Bock) etc.

Current occupation

She is the writer of the book "The Book of Style" by Minoas Edition published in 2011. A book that introduce us the decades of fashion on the first section and how to use the trends on the second section depending on body type, life style etc.

Soulioti is the co-owner of the Greek Creative Art Accessories Company "IS MY" who makes scarves and other fashion art accessories from Greek silk, cotton and wool. The first exhibition of "is my scarf" was at Benaki Museum in Athens in May 2012 along with the participation of several worldwide known Greek photographers (Harris Christopoulos, Mara Desypris, Thanasis Krikis, Kostas Avgoulis, Bill Georgoussis, Yiannis Bournias, Vaggelis Kyris, Dimitris Skoulos, George Malekakis among others) who inspired by "is my scarf" and created their own artistic photographic theme.

Personal life

Soulioti was married to Constantine Gerou and is a mother of two children. She has the second degree of the Reiki technique. She is participating to the "Make A Wish Foundation" and helps fulfilling children's wishes.
