Incahuasi District or Inkawasi[1] (Quechua Inka Inca, wasi house, "Inca house")[2][3] is one of six districts of the Ferreñafe Province in the lambayeque Region in Peru.[4]

Ethnic groups

The people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua (Inkawasi-Kañaris Quechua) is the language which the majority of the population (85.72%) learnt to speak in childhood, 14.08% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).[5]
