In the Path of God: Islam and Political Power is a book written by American historian and journalist Daniel Pipes on Islamic fundamentalism, published in 1983.

The book examines the role of Islam in politics, providing a perspective of its evolution against secularization, Communism, and modernity.[1] The book further presents the relationship between Islam and political power over the history of Islamist ideology.[2]
