The song was introduced by Harry James and his orchestra, with vocals by Helen Forrest, in the film Springtime in the Rockies.

The song was featured in the first Hit Kit, the U.S. Army's version of successful radio show Your Hit Parade.[1]

The song was covered in 1953 by the Skylarks, where it was a #28 hit, and again in 1960 on a single by Adam Wade. Al Hirt released a version on his 1965 album, They're Playing Our Song.[2] Astrud Gilberto reached #31 on Billboard's Easy listening survey with her 1967 remake. Italian-American singer Sergio Franchi recorded the song on his 1968 RCA Victor album I'm a Fool to Want You.[3]
