A frontrunner, after winning her debut in a sprint race at Saratoga Race Course, Hot Dixie Chick won the 6-furlong Grade III Schuylerville Stakes at Saratoga.[2] In her next outing, she won the Grade I 7-furlongs Spinaway Stakes in stakes-record time of 1:22.28.[3]
