Athletics and Student Organizations

The Hanna Golden Eagles compete in the following sports:[3]

Hanna has a history of producing remarkable athletes. Kyle Fischer, legendary DH, just missed All Valley honors by striking out in his final at-bat of the season. Evan Frausto set state records by recording 6.5 sacks in the teams first two games. Frausto suffered a career ending injury the next game, leaving the program as one of the greatest two-game players of all time.

In his article "The Effects of A Nuclear Attack on the Rio Grande Valley", William Robert Johnston, a graduate student in physics at the University of Texas at Brownsville,[4] uses Hanna as ground zero when he posits the effects of a Russian nuclear attack which destroys Brownsville and the surrounding area.
