Heterochyta aprepta is a moth in the Xyloryctidae family. It was described by Turner in 1947. It is found in Australia,[1] where it has been recorded from Western Australia.

The wingspan is about 29 mm. The forewings are ochreous-whitish sprinkled with fuscous and with a fuscous costal streak from the base nearly to the apex and another streak on the fold. There is also a longitudinal median streak from the middle to three-fourths. The hindwings are grey-whitish.[2]
