Hermenegildo B. Reyes

Hermenegildo Balbino Agustin Reyes, A.B., B.E.E., Ll.B was a Boy Scouts of the Philippines Scouting notable.

Prof. Reyes served on the World Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 1961 to 1967.

Prof. Reyes co-founder and served Far Eastern University second president from 1945 to 1946, he is the uncle succeeding founding president Dr. Nicanor I. Reyes, Sr.; past president and co-founder of University of the East succeeding Dr. Francisco T. Dalupan Sr., Atty.

Reyes was born to Vicente Tantoco Reyes and Olympia Agustin-Reyes and graduated from Ateneo de Manila University Bachelor of Arts in 1914 and earned his Ll.B from University of the Philippines and Admitted to Integrated Bar of the Philippines in November 18, 1935; also graduate Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University New York in 1918, Appointed associate professor in UP Mechanical and electrical department and Past President UP Electronic and Electrical Engineers Alumni Association.

Reyes was awarded the Bronze Wolf Award, the only distinction of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, awarded by the World Scout Committee for exceptional services to world Scouting, in 1967.[1]
