Henry the Human Fly was the first solo album by British singer/songwriter/guitarist Richard Thompson. It was originally released in Britain in April 1972 on the Island label and in the US on the Reprise label. The album was Thompson's attempt to create an English rock 'n roll hybrid. It was poorly received at the time and is, reportedly, the worst selling album in Warner Brothers Records history [3] but today is often considered one of his best albums.
