Hebrews 11 is the eleventh chapter of the Epistle to the Hebrews in the New Testament of the Christian Bible.[1][2] The name of the author is unknown, but it is a man and a friend of Timothy based on the text in this book.[3][4]

Verse 1

New King James Version

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.[5]

Verse 3

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.[6]

Verse 6

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.[7][8]

Verse 35

New Revised Standard Version

Women received their dead by resurrection. Others were tortured, refusing to accept release, in order to obtain a better resurrection.[9]
