Hartsook, California

Hartsook (also, Richardson Grove) is a former settlement in Humboldt County, California.^[1] It was located 6.5 miles (10.5 km) south of Garberville.^[1]

A post office opened at Hartsook in 1926, and was moved and renamed to Richardon Grove in 1938.^[1] Richardson Grove refers to Richardson Grove State Park. Hartsook was named after photographer and resort owner Fred Hartsook.^[1]
