Harry Burnand

John Henry Davis Burnand (2 December 1850 25 March 1919), known as Harry Burnand, was a New Zealand engineer and sawmiller. He was born in London, England on December 2, 1850.[1]

He was a director of Ellis and Burnand from 1903,[2] which was initially based in Otorohanga, had sawmills in many surrounding areas and later became part of the company now trading as PlaceMakers.[3]

His younger son, Harry, was killed in 1917.[4]
