Harold Livingston is an American novelist and screenwriter who wrote the screenplay for Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979).[1]

Before his career as a writer, Harold was a fighter pilot. He was one of the founding members of the Israeli Air Force, and was instrumental in ensuring Israel's victory during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War.[2]
