Hakim Ziyech (born 19 March 1993) is a Dutch-born Moroccan professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Ajax in the Eredivisie. He is known for his technique and free kick ability.[2][3]

Career

SC Heerenveen

Ziyech joined the football academy school of SC Heerenveen / FC Emmen in 2004.

On 2 August 2012, he made his senior debut for Heerenveen in the third qualification round of the UEFA Europa League versus FC Rapid București.[4] Ten days later, he debuted in the Eredivisie, in a 2–0 loss to NEC.[5]

Twente

On 18 August 2014, Ziyech signed a four-year contract with FC Twente.[6]

Ajax

On 30 August 2016, Ziyech moved to Ajax on a five-year deal until 2021.[7]

International

Ziyech was eligible to represent the Netherlands or Morocco internationally. Ziyech received his first call up to the senior Netherlands team in May 2015.[8]

On 23 September 2015, he announced via social media his choice to represent Morocco internationally. He made his debut for the Morocco national football team in a friendly 0-1 loss to Ivory Coast on 9 October 2015.[9]
