Hadi Pranoto

Hadi Pranoto (born 1937) is a prominent Indonesian batik maker, who in 1991 worked for the Aidiyanto Batik Studio in Yogyakarta. Pranoto is a Latter-day Saint.

Pranoto joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) in 1975 along with his wife and their five children. He later served for a time as president of the LDS Church branch in Yogyakarta.

Pranoto's son-in-law Joni Susanto is also a prominent batik maker. In 1991, the Museum of Church History and Art in Salt Lake City, Utah, held an exhibit of batiks made by Indonesian Latter-day Saints. This was inspired by curator Richard Oman having come across a batik by Pranoto representing Joseph Smith's First Vision.
