The Green Party of Vancouver, founded in 1984,[2] is a municipal political party in Vancouver. It is affiliated with both the provincial Green Party of British Columbia, and the national Green Party of Canada.

The party nominated Green Party of Canada deputy leader Adrianne Carr as their sole nominee for Vancouver City Council during the 2011 Vancouver municipal election.[3] Carr subsequently won the seat on 19 November.[4][5] Carr retained her council seat during the 2014 Vancouver municipal election, winning with the highest number of votes of any council candidate.[6]

The Green Party of Vancouver nominated seven candidates for the 2014 Vancouver Municipal election, held on November 15, 2014, four of whom won seats and are currently in office.[10]
