The Gozitan Second Division, known as Melita Second Division for sponsorship reasons is the second and lowest level in the Gozo Football League. The league was first competed in 1948.

The Melita Second Division is played in the same manner as the First Division. It is based on three rounds, each team play each other three times, thus the teams in the Second Division play 18 games each in total. The season is usually held between September and April. At the end of the season, the champion is promoted to the First Division and the team finishing in the bottom of the First Division is relegated to the Second Division. A promotion/relegation playoff game takes place between the team placing second in the Second Division and the 6th placed team in the First Division.

The majority of matches of the second division are played at the Sannat Ground, however occasionally they are played at the Gozo Stadium.
