Gough McCormick
The Very Rev Joseph Gough McCormick , DD (1874–1924) was Dean of Manchester in the first quarter of the 20th century.[1]
Born into an ecclesiastical (and cricketing) family[2] in London in 1874, he was educated at Exeter School and St John's College, Cambridge.[3] He was ordained in 1897.[4] He began his career at Great Yarmouth after which he was Vicar of St Paul’s, Princes Park, Liverpool.[5] Later he was Vicar of St Michael’s, Chester Square[6] and an Honorary Chaplain to the King[7][8] before his elevation to the Deanery.[9] He died in post on 30 August 1924.[10]
