The untitled film about A.A. Milne, sometimes known as Goodbye Christopher Robin, is an upcoming film directed by Simon Curtis and is based on the creation of the character Winnie the Pooh.

Premise

A. A. Milne finds his inspiration for his Winnie the Pooh tales through his interactions with his young son Robin.

Development on the project first began in 2013, with producers Steve Christian and Damian Jones as producers and Ripper Street creator Simon Vaughan penning the screenplay.[1]

In April 2016, Domhnall Gleeson entered discussions to star as A. A. Milne.[2] Margot Robbie entered negotiations for a role.[3] Gleeson and Robbie were confirmed to star in June 2016, with Robbie's role revealed as Milne's wife Daphne.[4] Kelly Macdonald joined the film as Olive, Christopher Robin's nanny later in the month.[5]

Filming began in September 2016.[6]
