Gliese 868

Piscis Austrinus constellation map

Gliese 868 is a K5V class star located in the night sky at Right ascension 22h 40m 43s and declination −29° 40′ 28″ in the constellation of Piscis Austrinus. ^[1]

At a distance of 44.5 light years and an absolute magnitude of 7.25, this star has an apparent magnitude of 7.93 when viewed from earth. A photo of the star found ^[2] The stars surface temperature is estimated at 4263K and about 12% the luminosity of the sun. The star has a total Proper Motion of 0,396 "/yr (93.4 °). ^{[3] [4]}

The star is also known as HD214749, HIP-111960, SAO- 191 319 and cd-30° 19255, LTT 9143 and NS 2240-2940.
