Glåmdal

Glåmdalen is a traditional district in Hedmark county in Eastern Norway. It comprises the municipalities of Eidskog and Kongsvinger. The regional center is the city of Kongsvinger. This district, which borders Sweden, is dominated by forests and lakes.[1]

Administration

Regional Councils in Norway (Interkommunale regionråd) are inter-municipal political cooperation bodies between neighboring municipalities in a district or particular geographical area. Each is operated with its own statutes or cooperative agreements on a wide field of activity. Seven municipalities in Hedmark cooperate in the Glåmdal Regional Council (Glåmdal regionråd):[2]
