Giordano Bruno Guerri (21 December 1950 in Monticiano, Siena, Italy) is an Italian writer, journalist and historian.

Personal life

Giordano Bruno Guerri was born in Siena province, son of Gina Guerri and Febo Anselmi, aka Ebo,[1] whose surname took after legal divorce introduction in Italy, allowing second wedding with Mrs Guerri, and after skipping the military service duty as unique son of unmarried mother.[2] His family was of religious principles and gave him a catholic education. After his first studies in in Colle di Val d'Elsa, he relocated with his family in Bollate (Milan hinterland), then attended Modern Literature course at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. At the beginning of his studies he worked as a Copy editing for the Milanese editor Garzanti, then as a freelance and until 1980 as an employee. In 1974 concluded his studies with a work about Giuseppe Bottai.[3]

In 1985 he was appointed chief editor of the monthly magazine La Storia Illustrata, whose sales it increased from 60,000 to 110,000 per issue in 15 months. In 1986 he was publishing director at Mondadori. From 1989 to 1991 he was chief editor of the monthly magazine Chorus . In 1995 he went to Rome, where is a journalist for RAI. From April 2004 to February 2005 was Director of the Milanese newspaper L'Indipendente.

Guerri taught Contemporary History at the 'Università Guglielmo Marconi' 'in Rome. He also taught regularly the same time at the Faculties of Political Science at the Universities of Salerno, Madrid, Geneva, Rio de Janeiro and at Columbia University in New York. From March 2003 up to 2007 he was president of Fondazione Ugo Bordoni. From 2008 is President of the Vittoriale degli italiani foundation.
From 2015 is Presidente of Fondazione Opera pia Carità laicale e Director of MuSa, Museo di Salò. He is an opinionist of the newspaper Il Giornale. He founded a cultural movement, "Italiani Liberi", about "euroskepictism and free thinking, and the Internet news site www.italianiliberi.it.[4]

Writings

In 1976 Feltrinelli published his first work, his university Master thesis titled Giuseppe Bottai, un fascista critico. In 2010 published the book Il Sangue del Sud – Antistoria del Risorgimento e del Brigantaggio, a critic representation of Italian Unification.
