Giacobbe Fragomeni (born 13 August 1969) is an Italian professional boxer. He is a former WBC and European Union cruiserweight champion. As an amateur he won the 1998 European Amateur Boxing Championships in the heavyweight division.

Professional career

Fragomeni turned in 2001 pro in the cruiserweight division. Nicknamed Il Gabibbo, after a popular Italian TV character, he won the WBC International Cruiserweight Title on March 12, 2005 by defeating Brazil's Daniel Bispo in the Mazda Palace in his hometown of Milan. On November 17, 2006 he challenged David Haye for the EBU (European) cruiserweight title, with Haye winning for TKO after 9 rounds. On October 24, 2008 he won the WBC Cruiserweight Title when he defeated Rudolf Kraj at Palalido in Milan. On May 16, 2009 he fought Krzysztof Włodarczyk. The bout was declared a draw after 12 rounds and Fragomeni managed to retain his WBC Cruiserweight title. Exactly one year later, he lost a rematch for TKO after 8 rounds.
