Gerry Casey is a footballer who played as a midfielder in the Football League for Tranmere Rovers.[1][2]

He is best remembered as one of the football league's hardest players, a reputation which began just a few minutes into his English football league debut for Tranmere, when he was dismissed for violent conduct vs Torquay Utd in August 1967, making him the first ever player to be sent off on his debut in the football league.
