Georgios Kalaitzis (alternate spelling: Giorgos) (Greek: Γιώργος Καλαϊτζής); born August 29, 1976 in Thessaloniki, Greece) is a retired Greek professional basketball player and basketball coach.

Professional career

In his pro career, Kalaitzis played with: Panionios, Olimpia Milano, Panathinaikos, Aris, Panellinios, Kolossos, and Doukas.[1]

Greek national team

Kalaitzis won the gold medal at the 1995 FIBA Under-19 World Championship with the Greek junior national team. As a member of the senior men's Greek national basketball team, he played at the EuroBasket 1997, the 1998 FIBA World Championship, the EuroBasket 1999, and the EuroBasket 2001.

Coaching career

Kalaitzis became a head coach in the youth academies of Panathinaikos in 2016.
