Georges Candilis

Georges Candilis (Greek: Γεώργιος Κανδύλης; Baku, Russian Empire, 29 March 1913 – Paris, 10 May 1995) was a Greek-French architect and urbanist.[1]

Life

Trained as an architect at the National Technical University of Athens between 1931 and 1936, he moved to France in December 1945 along with many other Greek intellectuals on the Mataroa voyage.

Work

He became famous with the project for Le Mirail, Toulouse (together with Alexis Josic and Shadrach Woods).[1]

He was also a founder of Team 10.[1]
