Gavialinum is an extinct genus of teleosaurid thalattosuchian. Fossils have been found from France that date back to the Bathonian stage of the Middle Jurassic.[1] Despite what its name may suggest, the genus is not related to gavialids as was previously thought, having occurred much earlier than any crocodilian.
