Fredrik Virtanen

Karl Fredrik Virtanen (born 15 November 1971 in Motala, Östergötland County) is a Sweden-Finnish journalist for the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet and the host for the talk show Studio Virtanen on Swedish TV8. For Aftonbladet, he has been the New York City correspondent, contributing with weekly columns about the life in the Big Apple, as well as an entertainment journalist, writing about e.g. Eurovision Song Contest. He has done some gigs as a DJ in different clubs in Stockholm. Apart from that, he writes a blog which started out as a non-smoking campaign, where we got to follow his way into the life as a non-smoker. Even though he did not succeed in that mission, the blog grew big and is now published in book-form under the title Olyckligt kär i ingen speciell (roughly translated to Unhappily in love with nobody in particular).

In 2003 he got into an altercation with a member of Hardcore Superstar.
