Frederic L. Chapin
Frederic Lincoln Chapin (13 July 1929 – 8 September 1989) was a United States diplomat. He was the ambassador to Ethiopia and Guatemala.[1] [2] He was also Chargé d'affaires ad interim in Chad for four month following the establishment of Embassy Fort Lamy (now N'Djamena) on February 1, 1961.[3] He was the son of Selden Chapin, United States ambassador to the Netherlands, Peru and Iran. His cousin, Hope Cook was the Queen of Sikkhim.
