Fran Millar (born December 9, 1949) is an American politician. He is a member of the Georgia State Senate from the 40th District, serving since 2010. He is a member of the Republican party.[1]Fran Millar has served in the Georgia legislative since 1999, both in the House of Representatives and the Senate. He currently is chairman of the Higher Education committee, is secretary of the Health and Human Services committee, and also serves as a member of the Rules and the Education and Youth Committe.

Senator Millar believes that Medicaid expansion under Obamacare will ultimately happen in Georgia.[2]

He has 3 kids, Lisa, Bill, and Meredith, and 7 grandchildren, Matt, Erin, Will, Ansley, Beckett, Emma, and Chance. He is currently an active member at Dunwoody United Methodist Church.
