Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock

Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock is a fiction novel written by Matthew Quick about a 17-year-old boy who plans to shoot his ex bestfriend, then kill himself, on his birthday.

Summary

Leonard Peacock is a high school student who plans to kill his best friend, then himself.[1] The novel passes for a day in the life of Leonard, in which many characters who play an important role in his life stumble in his way. We realize at the end of the novel that his best friend, Asher, sexually abused him a couple of years ago, then forgot their friendship in exchange of being accepted by the popular kids in school.

Film adaptation

It is speculated that there will be a film adaptation of the novel soon.[2] James Ponsoldt is believed to adapt and direct the upcoming film.[3]
