Ferryfield House

Ferryfield House is a Community Hospital in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is operated by NHS Lothian[1] It is situated in Pilton, Edinburgh.

Ferryfield House specialises in short-term and respite care. It is a 60 bed unit that opened in October 1996, as replacement for facilities previously provided at the Northern General Hospital.[2] It was the first NHS facility in Scotland to be provided through a private finance initiative scheme.[2] There are two wards, with one used to treat patients with "dementia and challenging behaviour" and the other for the frail and elderly.[3]
