Early life and education

Fady's interest in music began through his cousins, who would record beats and rap and sing over them for entertainment. At the age of thirteen, he began writing and recording music from his bedroom.[4]

Faydee was discovered online by Ronnie Diamond, the owner and founder of Buckle Up Entertainment, at 19 years old. Shortly after, he released "Laugh Till You Cry", which topped the Hot 100 airplay charts in Romania for six consecutive weeks.[2][4] The song became a pan-European and international hit for Faydee. In 2013, Faydee was named the national ambassador for the Bully Zero Australia Foundation releasing the song "Unbreakable" featuring Miracle.[5]

In February 2015, Faydee traveled to Greece to film a music video for "Who" with Claydee Lupa.[6][7][8] The song placed on Greece's Top 40 airplay chart two weeks after its release.[7] The bilingual English/Arabic song, "Habibi (I Need Your Love)" co-written by Faydee and Romanian music producer Costi Ioniță was released in 2014.[9]"I Need Your Love" was released crediting Shaggy featuring Mohombi, Faydee and Costi. This version charted on the Billboard Hot 100 in March 2015.[10] The song placed 25th on the Top 40 Pop US Billboard Charts in May. It also charted on the UK Singles chart, as well as in Australia, Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands. The song was also released in other languages including in Russian with Uzbek singer Shahzoda and Dr. Costi as "Habibi (Улыбнись и все Ок)," and in Bulgarian with singer Galena as "Habibi".
