Far from Men (French: Loin des hommes) is a 2014 French drama film directed by David Oelhoffen. It was selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the 71st Venice International Film Festival.[2][3] It was screened in the Special Presentations section of the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival.[4]

Critical reception

The movie was well received by the critics. Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reports that 79% of 24 critics gave the film a positive review, for an average rating of 6.8/10.[5] Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, calculated a "generally favorable" average score of 74, based on 13 reviews.[6]
