Fakeflash

Fakeflash is an Apple Mac OS X trojan.[1]

It has been widely reported that malware/computer viruses have infected Apple Mac computers. One vector of attack has been through Adobe Flash. The variety of "FakeFlash" trojans discovered have prompted Apple to update its software for the OS X platform.

A number of well known computer publications have reported on the Flash vector viruses. Reports have been made by c|net Apple updates malware definitions for fake Flash Player trojan [2] and Macrumors Apple Updates Anti-Malware Definitions to Address Fake Flash Player Trojan.[3]

There also has been significant discussion about Flash vector viruses in the Apple Support Communities.[4]
