Medical College, Faizabad(Hindi: मेडिकल कालेज, श्रीशपुरम फैजाबाद ) or Government Medical College & Super Facility Hospital, Faizabad is a state medical college located in Shripuram of Faizabad district, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is affiliated to King George's Medical University, Lucknow.

The college has guidance and mentorship of King George's Medical University(KGMU), Lucknow, one of the top institutes in India

History

In 2000, Government of Uttar Pradesh decided to set up a new medical college and hospital at Faizabad in the eastern part of the state at an approximate cost of Rs 300 crore.[2] In 2015, the institute was recognized for 400 M.B.B.S. seats by Medical Council of India (MCI).

Courses

Every year 400 students are allowed to take admission in the M.B.B.S. course[1] by two competitive examinations. The prestigious AIPMT accounts for the filling of 50% seats and remaining 50% seats are filled through a state-level entrance examination UP-CPMT.

The Government Medical College & Super Facility Hospital is situated at Mahsudha of the historic city of Faizabad in U.P.. Chakrapanpur is about 3 km from Faizabad city.
