Expatriate Healthcare is a United Kingdom based managing general underwriting company which provides international medical insurance for those living and working abroad as expatriates, travellers or volunteers. Expatriate Group provides underwriting, administering and claims services for its customers from its London headquarters, with additional support from its administration office in Haywards Heath.[1][2]
History
Expatriate Group originally began trading in 2003 as Expatriate Healthcare, providing international healthcare insurance to expatriate living and working across the world. In 2015 Expatriate Healthcare changed its name to Expatriate Group, in acknowledgment of the increased product portfolio beyond iPMI; to include travel insurance, term life insurance, and income protection insurance. Expatriate Group looks after tens of thousands of customers around the world, which includes over 120 different nationalities in over 180 different countries globally.[3][4]
The underwriting services for Expatriate Group's policies are provided by ANV Lloyd's of London Syndicate. Expatriate Group is also in partnership with Global Benefits Group.[5][6]
Operations and Services
Expatriate Healthcare develop products that were specifically aimed at meeting the needs of people living overseas or traveling extensively. Its services are available to all persons living or working outside of their country of nationality, with the exception of persons residing in the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Switzerland. It provides preventive health screening without any hospital restrictions and covers chronic as standard. Its online platforms enable instant purchase, as well as automated online renewals and installment premiums.[7]
Expatriate group has developed a suite of products that provide protection and certainty which include: healthcare, travel insurance, term life insurance, and income replacement benefits which are all aimed at expatriates and international travelers.[8][9]
