History

Exclusive Media was founded by producers Nigel Sinclair and Guy East in 2008. In 2012, Exclusive Media acquired a minority stake in U.S. distribution company Millennium Entertainment.[1] Exclusive Media also acquired the home entertainment rights to Icon Entertainment International's library, which will add to its library of almost over 900 titles.[2] In March 2014, East and Sinclair left Exclusive Media and formed a new company, White Horse Pictures.[3] Marc Schipper is now CEO of Exclusive Media. The company will now focus on sales and managing its library of 1,000 films.[4]

In September 2015, AMBI Group in collaboration with New York-based private equity firm Raven Capital Management, assumed control of the majority of Exclusive Media Group library and took on a number of development projects as well as all sequel and remake rights owned by EMG. The library contained almost 400 titles including Begin Again, Cruel Intentions, The Ides of March, Hit & Run, Memento, The Mexican, Parkland, Rush, The Skulls, Sliding Doors, Snitch, Undefeated, The Way Back, The Passion of the Christ, Apocalypto, What Women Want, Jane Got a Gun, End of Watch, Dark Places and Adore.[5][6] The company soon after went out of business, with many of its operations going over to AMBI.
