Environment Conservation Group

Environment Conservation Group (ECG)

is a non-governmental organization based in Coimbatore, India. The group is active since 2009 and works towards conservation of the environment and wildlife.[1] ECG was formed by a group of wildlife and environmental enthusiasts headed by environmental activist Mohammed Saleem.[2]

The group is also involved in monitoring the wetlands of Coimbatore against dumping of debris and encroachments.[3][4][5][6] ECG is also involved in wildlife conservation and rescuing birds from the wildlife trade.[7][8][9] [10][11][12] The group is involved in stopping the felling of trees[13][14] and conducting awareness programmes.[15][16]
