Emiliya Valeva (Bulgarian: Емилия Вълева, born March 21, 1982), known by her stage name Emilia (or Emilija), is a Bulgarian pop folk singer. She has released eight studio albums to date.

Early life


Emilia was born in Radnevo but moved to Galabovo when she was young. She became interested in music from an early age and began singing in the local choir. She has one older sister, Daniela who is three years older. When Emilia was young, she was a mischievous and lively girl who started to learn traditional Bulgarian music with Jivka Dimitrova and Dimitar Kolev. Three years later, she signed a contract with the Bulgarian record label Payner. In 1999 she recorded her first song- "Its over with you" which became popular in the pop-folk culture. Her debut album Veselo Momiche (meaning Happy Girl) was successful. She has son named Ivan that was born May 11th 2008. The father of the child is Koko Dinev who is a successful Bulgarian businessman.
